Courtney Carballido is a contemporary, interdisciplinary fine artist who works primarily in photomontage, painting and mixed media works on canvas, wood panel and paper. Her vibrant images center on metaphysical, spiritual and natural themes and explore her observations of the complex human experience. The imagery in her mixed media artwork is a reflection of physical and spiritual tension and growth. Organic in nature and cellular in scope, divergent forms exist in spaces between light and darkness, energy and inertia, and space and matter — radiant and flawed, like jewels in a landscape.
